As Lady Captain I’ve been thinking back to when my husband (Bob) and I first came to Hazel Grove on a taster day, we both knew it was a perfect fit. The members we met socially, and then went on to play 18 holes with, were so friendly and helpful. Since then those members have become firm friends.
My aim as Lady Captain is simply to have fun on and off the course. I’ve been overwhelmed by the support offered by the membership and I’m honoured to be part of this club and hope to represent it to the best of my ability, both on and off the course.
I have the support of a superb committee, all excellent at their individual roles, and I know this will mean a happy smooth-running year. I’m looking forwards to playing golf with Mr Captain and our Professional, James Rowlands. Both are fantastic players so I hope to pick up some useful points.
Apart from our outstanding course, another great aspect of our club is the social events. Throughout the year many varied functions from quizzes and race nights to themed evenings, are very popular with our members and their friends (all of who are a great support). All this, combined with excellent food, great staff and great entertainment means good fun is had by all.
It’s a great club but don’t take my word for it, come along and meet me at a taster day, ring the Pro now.
