Hazel Grove Golf Club Centenary News
Hazel Grove Golf Club will be celebrating its centenary in 2013 and to prepare for this momentous event, a Centenary Committee has been appointed.

We are now looking for dedicated sub-committees to prepare the Club in terms of funding for improvements so we can celebrate in a manner that only Hazel Grove Golf Club members know how!

If you are interested in becoming involved please let us know. The intention is to have permanent commemorations and events in 2013.

The Committee is keen to include the full membership in contributing to the content and programme of this special year with the objective of making consolidated proposals to the Club Council Committee for its approval.

The proposals will be based on the funding available. A separate Centenary Fund has been set up to be used solely for the Centenary programme.

Great Response to the Fundraising Letters
Thank you, thank you, and a great big thank you to everyone who has contributed to the fund so far.

Funds raised up to 17 July 2010 -  £14,174 (fantastic)

Thank you all very much for your contributions - we really do appreciate it.

Some major projects have already been completed and there are a few more on the go for 2010. If you haven't contributed yet there is still time to help your club. Donating is easy - just hand your cheque into the office, bar or pro-shop (made payable to HGGC - Centenary).

If you are playing with members who haven't yet contributed, bring up the conversation and give them a gentle reminder to contribute as soon as possible.

The aim of the Centenary Fund is to improve the visual aspect and facilities available to members and guests at Hazel Grove Golf Club. This is to ensure we sustain our reputation as "the best course in the area".

With your support we can achieve this.

THANK YOU for all the donations, they have been gratefully received.

The Centenary Committee and Clubhouse Bar Management are pleased to announce that two new CENTENARY WINES are now available for you to enjoy.

A South African Noon Gun White and an Australian Red are now on sale at £11.25 and will compliment the "House Wines" choice.
